Children

"Our children will define the future, which makes them our most significant and enduring legacy." George Brana

Proverbs 22:6  “Teach children how they should live, and they will remember it all their life.”

Good Shepherd is committed to building a children’s ministry which will impact your children for the rest of their lives. We combine a solid foundation of prayer and Bible-based principles, along with leaders who care about your family.  Our ministries offer many ways kids can safely have fun, connect with others, and learn about an awesome and powerful God. You can learn about these opportunities by reviewing the program options below.

Sunday School

  • Ages - Three year olds through 5th grade.
  • Sunday mornings - 9:00 - 10:00 am

During our one hour Sunday school program the children learn biblical history that will help them grow in their understanding of God’s Word through “Growing in Christ” curriculum which emphasizes experiential learning and a variety of teaching methods. Children will be encouraged in their relationship with Jesus Christ and how the truth of God’s words will impact them to live their lives as Christians.

Parents/grandparents must register their child in the lower education level each Sunday morning before attending Sunday School.  During the Sunday School hour you are invited to attend either our 9:00 Worship Service or an Adult Bible Study.

  • 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm – Parenting Application Time

Each Day Club Schedule

What's it like?

Each week, as a member of the club, kids will be encouraged in their relationship with Jesus Christ. They will embark on an evening of interactive fun with praise music, teachable historical Bible moments, crafts, and a snack time. Our mid-week programming is about having fun, finding relationships and sharing and having a safe place to laugh, love, learn and discover the best friend we will ever have throughout our whole lives….Jesus Christ.

It is essential for parents and/or grandparents to be involved in a child’s spiritual growth. One of the most difficult yet most important tasks God has given parents/grandparents is to help their child grow in their understanding of how God’s Word impacts their choices. Sometimes, it is a challenge to know what to do and when to do it. The Parenting Application Time will provide you with tools for bringing truth from God’s Word home to your family.

We encourage all children to invite their friends to the EACH DAY CLUB and to church. It’s a great way to develop outreach within your family. All children participating in our mid-week programming will need to register even if you have been in the program previously.

Where do you go?

Parents/Grandparents can bring their child to the lower level of the church to sign-in each Wednesday.

Please contact Carrie Hoshaw at 763-784-8417 if you have questions about any of our Children and Family Educational opportunities.
